About
Startup Utrecht Region is a network organisation for the startup and scale-up economy of the Utrecht area. It brings together startups and scale-ups, established companies, angel investors and venture capital firms, local government and universities, and states that its purpose is to build the regional ecosystem rather than to run a single programme. For founders it names three things it opens up: access to capital, access to talent, and startup housing. It also offers to guide founders who do not yet know their way around the organisations in the region. For investors it runs an angel investor programme and points them towards funding opportunities in the area. It organises a series about trends and developments in the ecosystem, keeps a calendar of regional startup events that anyone can submit to, and publishes an annual monitor of the region's startup economy with figures on funding rounds, active investors, startup and scale-up counts and companies with female founders. The website is published only in English, and no office address or legal entity appears on it.
