The Dutch startup visa requires a founder from outside the EU to be sponsored by a recognised facilitator, and this is one entry point for finding one in the north east rather than approaching facilitators one by one.

Startup Visa Netherlands is an online route into the Dutch startup visa scheme for the north east of the country. The Dutch startup visa requires a founder to work with a recognised facilitator, and this site exists to make that pairing happen. Its published process runs in seven steps: prepare, sign up through the form on the site, be assessed within fifteen working days, have an online meeting if selected, be matched with a facilitator, apply for the visa with that facilitator's support, and then arrive and be introduced to the local ecosystem. The site states three requirements for applicants: a business idea it judges to be new for the Dutch market, enough money to live in the Netherlands for a year, and access to an experienced facilitator. It says its facilitators specialise in digital, energy, water, life sciences and high tech systems and materials, and that startups should be active in those fields. Its partners page names five organisations covering Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe and the Twente region, which is what it means by the north east of the Netherlands. It does not publish a legal entity name, a Chamber of Commerce number, a postal address, an email address or a telephone number, and it refers to its operators only as the crew.

- Its five named partners cover Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe and Twente. A founder heading elsewhere in the Netherlands needs a facilitator from the national list instead.
- It matches founders with facilitators. The permit decision rests with the Immigration and Naturalisation Service, and it publishes no legal entity, registration number or contact details of its own.
