About
T.B.V. Lugus is a student-run study association tied to three engineering degree programmes at the University of Groningen: Industrial Engineering and Management, Mechanical Engineering, and Systems and Control. Its stated aims cover symposia, excursions and conferences and the sale of course books, and around that it runs an introduction camp for first-year students, in-house days and business contact days with companies, a company tour, socials, ski trips, sporting activities and study support. The work is divided over committees, among them an introduction committee, an activity committee, a ski and sports committee, a master committee, an IT committee, a congress committee, a project committee, a run club and a guides committee. A board of students oversees those committees and represents the three programmes. The association has its own members room and board room in the Ben Feringa Building on Nijenborgh in Groningen, with a lounge where members can sit between lectures. Its site also carries study material, including overviews of the third-year minor programmes.
