Techleap is aimed at people building and scaling a technology company here, rather than at someone arriving and finding their feet. For a founder who has landed and is looking for the national layer of the Dutch tech ecosystem, this is where the scaling programmes, the peer community and the ecosystem research sit, and it is also the organisation that carries founders' funding, regulation and talent problems to Dutch policymakers.

About

Techleap is the national organisation working on the growth of Dutch technology companies. It describes its purpose as helping Dutch tech reach its full potential, and its mission as empowering Dutch tech founders to scale their companies and strengthening the wider ecosystem in the process. It began as a government-backed initiative and describes itself today as a multi-entity organisation that combines a public mandate with a founder-led community. Its work runs along three published lines. Valorisation is about turning academic work into investable companies, taking research from the lab to a launched business. Deep tech scaling runs sector by sector, with programmes, connections and research meant to help founders scale faster, and its flagship is Pole Position, an invite-only cohort that takes deep tech founders from research to scale with expert sessions, investor access and international missions. Public affairs and ecosystem research is where Techleap represents what founders are up against, on funding, regulation, talent and market access, to government, policymakers and politicians in the Netherlands, and carries the same case into international policy and investment conversations. Alongside these it runs the Techleap Community, a member-led community for Dutch tech founders and senior leaders built around closed-door peer groups, founder dinners, international trips and a growth cohort, and it backs The Stack, an Amsterdam-based hub for frontier AI companies. Its best-known publication is the State of Dutch Tech, an annual report and event that maps the Dutch technology ecosystem and serves as the evidence base for its policy work.

Good to know

Techleap is one public brand across more than one legal entity. Its own about page states that publicly funded work runs through Stichting DutchStartHub, which receives subsidy from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, while privately financed activities are held by Stichting Techleap. No single legal identity is recorded here.
Its programmes are aimed at technology founders and scaling companies. It is not a general newcomer, jobseeker or relocation service.
Pole Position is invite-only and runs as a cohort, so it is not open to apply to at any time.
The Techleap Community is member-led and funded by membership fees, so access depends on its own membership terms.
It is not an investor. It works on funding conditions, connections and policy rather than putting capital into companies itself.
The State of Dutch Tech is a report and an annual event. It is a publication, not a service a founder signs up to.
