About
Tumba is an antidiscrimination and diversity organisation working across the province of Fryslan, with an office in Leeuwarden. It describes itself as the reporting point and knowledge centre for discrimination and diversity in the province, and says it is there for all residents of Fryslan regardless of religion, belief, political opinion, race, gender or any other ground. Anyone who has seen, heard or experienced discrimination can approach it for help and advice; reports run through the national discrimination reporting route for Fryslan and can also be made by telephone, by email or at the office. The invitation to report appears on its pages in Dutch, Frisian, English, Arabic, Hebrew, Spanish, Turkish and French, and the website itself runs in Dutch, Frisian and English. The other half of its work is prevention: information, advice, education and research for educational institutions, companies, governments, the police, the prosecution service, media and cultural organisations. It states that it looks for the most durable outcome for everyone involved and tries to build bridges rather than point fingers.

- Its area is the province of Fryslan. A resident elsewhere reports to their own regional antidiscrimination service.
- It receives reports, advises and mediates. It does not prosecute, and a criminal complaint goes to the police.
- Its stated approach is to seek a durable outcome for everyone involved rather than to take one side, which is worth knowing before reporting.
