Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.
Attracting and keeping international talent is one of the three talent priorities it states publicly, alongside enrolment in technical education and lifelong learning. It funds the regional partners who do that work rather than doing it itself.
About
Twente Board is a regional partnership in the east of the Netherlands, with an office on M. H. Tromplaan in Enschede. The fourteen municipalities of Twente, entrepreneurs and educational institutions work together through it on the region's social and economic challenges. Its board seats three executives each from government, education and business, plus one voting seat always held by the municipality of Enschede and an advisory seat for the province of Overijssel, under an independent chair. It runs no services for individuals. Instead it looks for opportunities, connects organisations, people and ideas, and supports regional partners developing plans by giving them time, knowledge and funding. Its work is grouped into three strategic clusters: Chiptech, covering chip design, integrated photonics and heterogeneous systems, with facilities including the MESA+ Nanolab, the High Tech Factory and the New Origin photonics foundry; Medtech, built around the TechMed Center and the MedTech Factory; and Defence, using test facilities at Technology Base and Twente Airport. Alongside the clusters it runs an Innovation and Technology programme and a Talent programme, takes in project proposals, publishes the Twente Index and a progress report, and does public affairs work for the region.
Good to know
- Twente Board has no desk for individuals and answers no personal questions about moving to the Netherlands.
- It supports organisations and regional partners. Its board seats government, education and business rather than being a single government department.
