It recruits specifically for Dutch jobs that need a language other than Dutch, which makes it one route into paid work for someone who has moved here and does not yet speak the language.
About
Undutchables Recruitment Agency is a private recruitment and staffing company that has worked in the Netherlands since 1996. Its business is matching candidates who speak languages other than Dutch, and who often come from abroad, with Dutch employers that need those language skills. Candidates can search its vacancy list, create an account and set a job alert, and interviews happen by appointment once a suitable role comes up. On the employer side it sells four hiring models: direct recruitment, where the client company is the legal employer; temporary employment and secondment, where Undutchables stays the legal employer and handles contracts, payroll, tax and Dutch labour law compliance; and executive recruitment for senior positions. It also offers HR advice to companies without an HR department or setting up in the Netherlands. Its page on the highly skilled migrant scheme says Undutchables has held an agreement with the IND since March 2005 that allows it to employ highly skilled migrants. Its consultants are themselves internationals, and the site publishes general information about working and living in the Netherlands alongside its vacancies. Offices are in Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Eindhoven, with the head office in Amstelveen.

Good to know
- A commercial agency paid by the employers who hire through it. Nothing on the pages read describes a charge to candidates.
- Its services are recruitment, temporary employment, secondment, executive search and HR advice. For housing and relocation its relocation page refers readers to outside partners. For a highly skilled candidate from abroad it starts a search only when the hiring company is willing to wait for the permit, which the IND decides.
