Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.
The targets it states for the province are to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 55 percent and the use of new raw materials by half by 2030, and for Friesland to be fully circular by 2050.
About
Vereniging Circulair Friesland is an association based at Turfmarkt 11 in Leeuwarden whose members work together on the circular economy in the province of Friesland. Membership is organisational rather than personal: its published member list is made up of companies, most of the Frisian municipalities and the provincial government, education institutions including NHL Stenden, Van Hall Larenstein and Campus Fryslan, housing corporations, care providers and other social organisations. The association arranges its work in themed groups covering construction, energy, food, plastics, waste, mobility and water, and it runs recurring member formats it calls circular expeditions and circular cafes, in which members show each other how they work. It also speaks for its members towards regional, national and European government, helps them with circular purchasing, and helps get joint projects started. Part of its funding comes from the European Regional Development Fund, from the northern Netherlands regional partnership SNN and from the province of Friesland.
