Vrijwilligers Groningen is a province wide platform for volunteering in Groningen. Its colophon states that it is a collaboration between five organisations and that the website was made possible with funding from the province of Groningen, and that it works together with the municipal volunteer support desks and other local civil society organisations. It is therefore a publicly funded joint initiative rather than a company or a body with a legal identity of its own. The site has two halves. The first is a vacancy bank, which it describes as the volunteer vacancy bank for the whole province of Groningen, where organisations post volunteer roles and individuals search them. The second is a knowledge section holding background articles, training and courses, a directory of the volunteer support desk in each municipality, a tailored advice service and answers to common questions. There is also a section for organisations that want to thank their volunteers. Everything on the site is published in Dutch, and it publishes no postal address, telephone number or Chamber of Commerce number.
