Membership is open to any water technology company established in the Netherlands, so a founder who has moved here and registered such a company can use the expert groups, matchmaking and export programmes.

About
Water Alliance is a membership organisation that acts as both a branch association and a business network for the Dutch water and environmental technology sector. It says it was set up in 2010 by parties in the north of the Netherlands and now has more than two hundred member companies. Membership is open to companies established in the Netherlands that work in water technology. The organisation runs expert groups where member companies pool knowledge on specific subjects, including circular water, digital water, cooling water, micropollutants, resource recovery and water softeners. It organises matchmaking, networking and business development activity in the Netherlands and abroad, runs an events portal for members and publishes a sector magazine. It also takes a connecting role in national and European projects and funding schemes that help member companies test technology, find partners and enter foreign markets. It cooperates with the national technology employers' organisation and describes itself as one of the three managing partners of the WaterCampus site in Leeuwarden.
