Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

More about where our information comes from

If you have moved to the Netherlands to work or research in water technology, this is the one place where the sector's employers, research groups and test facilities sit together, and it runs the sector's job portal.

About

WaterCampus Leeuwarden describes itself as the meeting point of the Dutch water technology sector: a location in Leeuwarden where companies, knowledge institutions and governments work on water technology side by side. Its own pages describe it through its partners rather than as a single organisation. Three managing partners are named, the research institute Wetsus, the applied research centre CEW and the branch organisation Water Alliance, alongside further partners including the municipality of Leeuwarden, the province of Fryslan and the Water Application Centre. On the site itself there are research and office facilities, laboratory and testing infrastructure, demonstration locations and an application centre where technology can be tried at larger scale. The campus organises its work in four strands: support for entrepreneurs through an innovation portal, scientific and applied research, education and talent development for people training as water technology specialists, and sector events and conferences. It also runs a job portal for the water technology sector. Companies and knowledge institutes from the Netherlands and other countries are listed as partners.

What they offer

  • Innovation portal supporting entrepreneurs in water technology
  • Research and office facilities, laboratories, test programmes and demonstration sites on the campus
  • Application centre for testing technology at larger scale
  • Education and talent development for future water technology specialists
  • Job portal for the water technology sector
  • Sector events and conferences

Good to know

  • Its subject is water technology. It is not a general business park or a route into other sectors.
  • It is a campus and a partnership. Employment, research places and services are offered by the organisations on it, not by the campus itself.
  • It provides no relocation, permit or settlement services.
