Organisation records are published from the Flux Forward organisation register and shown here exactly as that register holds them. We do not research, write or edit them on this site, and a listing is not an endorsement or a sign that an organisation can help with your situation. Check the organisation's own website before acting.

Anyone living in Drenthe can walk in without an appointment and be pointed to the right regional organisation for work or retraining.

About

Werkcentrum Drenthe is a shared regional service point where residents and employers in Drenthe can bring questions about work, education and personnel. Its own privacy statement states that it is a collaboration and not a legal entity in its own right. The partners it names include the province of Drenthe, the municipalities of Borger-Odoorn, Coevorden, De Wolden, Emmen, Hoogeveen and Midden-Drenthe, the national employee insurance agency, employer and employee organisations, the vocational education cooperation body, several colleges and social development enterprises. Its help is organised around three starting points: looking for other work, wanting to develop or retrain, and being an employer with questions about staff, retraining or socially responsible business. Staff begin from the visitor's own question, give advice that fits the situation, and then either help directly or pass the person to the right partner in the regional network. People can walk in at two staffed locations, in Emmen and Hoogeveen, or at smaller drop-in points in a library in Beilen and at a social team office in Borger. A callback form is the other route in.

What they offer

  • Advice and referral for people looking for other work
  • Advice on retraining and development for people already in work
  • Advice for employers on recruitment, retraining staff and socially responsible business
  • Walk in service points in Emmen and Hoogeveen and drop-in points in Beilen and Borger

Good to know

  • It advises and refers. Benefits decisions, job placement and course enrolment are made by the partner organisations, not here.
  • Nothing on its pages describes service in English, or help with residence permits or diploma recognition.
