About
Work in NL explains what somebody needs to know if they live and work in the Netherlands, covering their work, their housing and their rights. It names no publisher or legal entity, but its contact page gives the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment in The Hague as the correspondence address. The content is arranged in two ways. By theme it covers registration, employment, contracts, living in the Netherlands, taxes and allowances, leave, working conditions, wages, integration and citizenship, healthcare, commuting, self-employment and education. By situation it has separate paths for labour migrants from inside the EU, labour migrants from outside the EU, knowledge migrants and refugees from Ukraine. Its registration section explains the Personal Records Database, the nineteen municipalities with a non-resident records desk, and how a citizen service number follows from registering. The whole site is published in nine languages: Dutch, English, Polish, Romanian, Spanish, Bulgarian, Chinese, Ukrainian and Russian. Alongside the website there is a network of Work in NL information points across the country where a person can walk in with questions about working and living here and get free help in person in several languages.
