About
WRK.frl describes itself as the talent attraction programme of Friesland, and it is a programme of the Economic Board Fryslân, run from Leeuwarden. Its site says it grew out of cooperation between Frisian employers, local and regional authorities and educational institutions, with the aim of keeping people who study and work in Friesland in the province and attracting talent from elsewhere. The platform gathers vacancies from Frisian employers, including side jobs, internships, traineeships and work-based learning places, together with employer profiles and information about living in the province's regions and municipalities. It states that it is free for employers, jobseekers and students, and that jobseekers can browse and apply without creating a profile. A Matchtool compares a user's answers with employers' own descriptions of their working culture, and students can post internship requests on an internship board. Through WRKLab, set up with NHL Stenden, students work on practical assignments for Frisian employers. An English section includes a page for international students and newcomers, with an International Welcome filter for employers that, according to the site, are open to international talent and to working in English. WRK.frl also organises events for employers, jobseekers and students.

Set up with NHL Stenden: students work for a semester on practical assignments from Frisian employers. The student route runs through an NHL Stenden minor.
Good to know
- Applications go straight to the employer. WRK.frl does not see applications and cannot contact jobseekers.
- The English section says it has only recently launched and is still being built, and it lists far fewer vacancies than the Dutch site.
- Recruitment and temporary employment agencies may only post vacancies within their own organisation.
- Employer profiles are for employers in Friesland, and the WRKLab student route is for NHL Stenden students.
